The real housewives research: make-up

Most of the women on 'The real housewives; television shows present themselves as beautiful made up women, who always look glamorous and wear the most expensive jewels. But underneath it all, when the cameras have gone, most of the women have admitted to being just like any other woman; wearing tracksuits watching tv and lounging around braless in pjs. It is not everyday that they dress in expensive cocktails dresses and have extravagant make-up. This type of lifestyle is what I expect form Lettice; she puts on a front to show she isn't weak, she shows her strength through her personality, she wears extravagant makeup and dresses to show her wealth and power, much like Queen Elizabeth I. But underneath it all, behind my research, she and Elizabeth are just ordinary women with strong personalities.

This shows the anxieties in the women on television, and it encourages them to wear more make-up, have more botox and eat less. This same self image is as important in Lettice and Elizabeth, because like the housewives, these women are watched all the time, they much be aware of their image all the time and make themselves 'look the part.'
