My Final Design
I redesigned my final look to add definition and to show more of my skills practice, also I thought my previous design reminded me of a David Bowie styled makeup. I changed the sharp edges of the red colours on the cheeks by blending the colours, I also added orange on the eye lashes and the cheeks. I used the Illamasqua white base instead of aqua colour to save time and to ensure a smooth texture to the skin, this created a lighter finish and a more subtle overall look to the skin. I added more gold to the lips to blend into red; I used gold to portray wealth and status, I also used a red palette to keep to the Elizabethan theme. Instead of blocking out the eye brows I wanted to make them a statement piece, the inspiration for this came from the makeup style of the Housewives of Orange Country television show mixed with the personality traits of Lettice, the lady in waiting and cousin of Elizabeth I.
I am pleased with how my final design looks on my face chart and Matida and I have practiced this look on my face to compare and match the two. I am pleased with the amount of practice that me and Matida have put into this, as we want to make sure that both partners are confident with the application and the finished look.
